A Little Elbow Grease. . . and Some Pegboard and Dowels. . .

Okay, so some projects just take me a REALLY long time. Like this spool rack, for instance. Started it with determined enthusiasm and waned a bit towards the end. Just two rows short of finished. Go figure.

But I figured that my thread collection was getting just a bit unmanageable. And when it takes 10 minutes or more to find the right color spool of thread, yeah, well. . .it's time to get organized.

Alas, here it is.

After a couple of hours of sorting and unearthing even more spools of threads than I realized, this is the near full up rack.  Got a funny idea I should have made this bigger but didn't quite have as much room on this side of the room.

Have to admit, though, getting this idea off the net plus a couple more suggestions by others, and this project only cost a fraction of what some sites were asking and to only hold 1/3 of the spools you see here.

Well, must be off to see if I can find some other projects to get behind on. :-)
